Our work with the Mountjoy Prison Maynooth University Partnership focused on creating a strategic plan to enhance educational opportunities for students with criminal justice histories, within both the prison and the University. This involved a comprehensive assessment of the partnership’s current governance, enabling them to identify their most effective structure and set specific, impactful objectives.

We supported the development of a roadmap that promotes educational access and community resilience, drawing on best practice in the science of learning and teaching and responding to the challenges of managing educational programmes in prison.

For the Universities of Sanctuary Ireland Steering Group, we facilitated a series of in-depth discussions to define their vision for the next 3-5 years. Through breakout sessions, we examined critical operational areas such as outreach, scholarship programs, and policy advocacy, ensuring that UoSI is positioned to advance the Sanctuary movement within Ireland’s higher education sector and respond to national and international developments.

We helped establish a new governance model for Universities of Sanctuary Ireland that supports their commitment to inclusion and advocacy within the higher education system while maximising the benefits from a large and diverse voluntary membership.
