Women’s Leadership and Networking morning – November 2022
Fingal She Leads was joined by AwakenHub co-founder Mary Carty to talk about Women’s Leadership and the importance of networking. The discussion was facilitated by Dr Lucy Michael facilitated discussion by Lucy Michael on influencing decision-makers and planning for new activities together in the coming year. The workshop included an open table discussion on the establishment of a Women’s Leadership Programme and Learning Network for Fingal in 2023
One Day training – June 2022
She Leads, We Lead Fingal team hosted a one-day programme in Balbriggan on 11 June. The training was free, and attended by 40 people.
2021-22 Women’s Leadership Programme
A new programme led by local women leaders in Fingal explored the achievements, challenges, and opportunities that women experience in community action.This 9 week programme introduced leadership skills, resources and approaches already successful in Fingal, and supported participant in the early development of leadership activities to improve life in our communities and neighbourhoods.
Our local leaders who designed and delivered the course are longtime activists in their communities, particularly addressing social issues and sustainable neighborhoods, and use a variety of perspectives including disability, migrant rights, Traveller rights, and interfaith. They have supported participants through the programme with real life advice, stories and feedback on their ideas.

Participants discovered how to define goals, work with others, share leadership roles, develop key leadership messages, build leadership skills for the future, and meet leaders who share interests in Fingal.
